a few thoughts on the lok finale
I feel that it’s only fair to give everyone a heads up: I was not amused or satisfied by the goings-on in this finale. There were a few bright spots, but overall? COMPLETE AND UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT.

So much for Korra being a “strong female character”.
Season 2’s gonna have to be full of diamonds, because wow. And then the Amon whitewashing. (Good grief, whitewashing is everywhere, isn’t it?) I love LoK, but that was disappointing. Gonna have to change my desktop image so I don’t collapse from disappoint. QQ sigh. I’m going to need for the things I love to stop stabbing me point-blank.

In-episode whitewashing?
BRHood: Yeah, let’s talk about this. I mean, it wasn’t bad enough that Katara and Sokka were both whitewashed in LoK? Then THIS had to happen? How do you even explain this? You have this flashback AND MAKE HIM BROWN IN THE FLASHBACK (meaning they have the ability to do that, so there was no reason for Sokka being so whitewashed when he appeared in flashbacks), and then make his skin white when he’s finally shown? Brown people don’t become white when they get older. Even if they do spend some time behind a mask.
There is just too much wrong with this series. And they even had time to whitewash while doing it.
Amon, lay off the bleachbending. Shit not even cute.

Here are my short and to the point thoughts (a bit jumbled lol).
There be spoilers. Sort of.
So I think I figured it out.
Everybody (including me at some points) are freaking out about Amon not being controlled by blood bending. It’s because he doesn’t have blood.
He’s a robot.
With all this futuristic technology around, don’t you think someone would have come up with the idea of a robot by now?
I dunno. He “strained” against Tarrlok’s grip *shrug* But then again, parts of him could be prosthetic (like his legs) …. Ooohh. This could be the result of his injuries (one of which was losing his face).
